July 26, 2022
After nearly 30 years of programming our of our current location at 702 N. Burdick Street in Kalamazoo, ESC has huge plans to expand our ability to better serve the seniors living in Kalamazoo County. This project will more than double our program space and allow us to meet the growing needs of seniors living in Kalamazoo County.

Masterplan
Phase I
will include a complete renovation of our current facility located at 702 N. Burdick Street in Kalamazoo.
Phase II
will consist of up to 10,000 sq. ft. of new construction that will be attached to the current building off the back parking lot.
Total Goal is $4.2 Million
Phase I will include renovations to our current facility and will include upgrade of all electrical, mechanical, and plumbing and will add fire suppression to the entire building. Upgrades will be made to all interior and exterior to include new roof, new windows, and outside siding.
An intimate fireside lounge will be added that can open to the larger public area to accommodate larger groups and improvements to staff offices and a dedicated meeting room/craft room.
Thanks to the generous support of the Stryker Johnston Foundation, we plan to begin renovations starting October 1, 2022.
ESC will temporarily relocate to Galilee Baptist Church starting Oct. 1, 2022 while the renovations are being completed.
